This is late summer 2006. The pond is right under my picture window so I can watch the fish all year round. It also allows more to wacth the birds and squirrels that come for a drink. It's close to the house and surrounded by sidewalk so I have to landscape with potted plants. The palms look great in the summer and then I bring them in for the winter.

 

Fall 2004 my late husbands last gift to me was a real pond kit. Spring 2005 I framed in the pond. My fish were hiding under the plants. The filter system is very simple a pump surrounded by Matala fine media in the flower pot, very simple but effective.

Spring 2006 2 Star Rose is up to 9". She was a Valentine's Day in 1989 from my late husband so she is very dear to me.

Our oscar, Ms.Picky, had to give up her big tank for my pond fish. Here she is with our kitty Gizmo. Winter 2004/ 2005 displaced Ms. Picky into her smaller tank to make room for the outdoor fish.
